A Movie I must see

This preview is simply amazing. It's a movie I must watch. I will be taking my hubby and for sure my sister, who is a huge Jane Austen fan. I hope you guys enjoy this.

I know I haven't posted anything recently, but just to update you guys...Thank you to everyone who was a part of Heredes' 100th post Blog Party.

I finished work and I simply miss it and now I am in the journey of looking for a new job. So if you guys can keep me in prayer that would be awesome.

The Secret series at church has been going really well. This past Sunday, our iPhone mad-man, Brian Vasil, spoke about patience. It was a great message. So totally needed to hear that. The Sunday before that, our wonderful, upbeat Heather Palacios (HP) spoke about the Secret of God's Favor. She had a swing tire swinging from the ceiling of the building and totally delighted me as she spoke about taking the rim out of the tire and allowing God to fill in that hole. He should be our center of all enjoyment and satisfaction. Our everything, my everything!

My mom and brother went to Peru. Actually, my brother is still there and my mom got back on Friday. She visited the FRC Lima campus. She met Dorcas and Steve and even invited two of her friends. I can't wait till the day comes when Heredes and I can travel to Peru, Brazil, maybe one day Venezuela and all over the world, not only to visit but also be a light.

This week has been quiet and sweet. Been home cleaning, reading, exercising, and visiting my hubby at work. So, that is a quick update on what's been going on. I will be posting more interesting things soon . :)

All Around Me

Great lyrics & i really like the video...

FlyLeaf

Just some clips for you guys to enjoy. I was introduced to this band by my husband. Our friend Samantha R. introduced it to him. Came across her testimony & it's really good. Gave me comfort & excitement to see how lives are changed by the power of a loving, Heavenly Father who gave us his Son, Jesus! Thank you Lord!

My Dissertation on the iPhone

Okay, so we have a friend...uhum "Brian Vasil"..Who has been waiting patiently for this post. So Brian here I go, my reasons why Heredes will not recieve an Iphone from me (at least)...

So, it was mentioned that relationally, the iphone is a wonderful jewel of static free communication with the wife. Well, if hubby would have kept the nice rizr that he bought (which is also static free) & not exchanged it for a static blackberry, our conversations would be clearer. But, we fixed this problem bc he got a cute little ear piece that allows his wife to hear him better. And I gained a brand new phone. And bc of that unwise decision he must face the consequences. (No $600. iphone)

Second, through his "now" phone, we can also text each other & he has this awesome system called spin vox. It simply turns voice messages into text messages. So, there really is no need for an iphone. He also gets to go online, not only on his computer, but on his phone. So, he has easy map availability. But there is something better than looking for a map- he's got ME! I am his map that guides him everywhere...& I'm free..:)

Third, when we go out on dates I like to go to the restroom to fix my makeup or look in the mirror...Plus I don't need a slick, shiny iphone to look into, I carry my MAC (makeup line) powder & bronzer with built-in mirror that fixes the problem. And let me tell you, Heredes can't keep his hands off my MAC bronzer...Huh sweety!!!

The next thing I read "somewhere" was how the iphone helps us socially...Well, see I have this wonderful little gadget called T.vo....which records all my favorite shows & movies & news that I can watch whenever I want & keeps me updated on life...Like Nicole Richie being pregnant & maybe going to jail...I mean, it's fascinating...And I get to see it on my big t.v., not a little, tiny screen...well, like the iphone.

Now, I know I may sound like a cruel, old wife...but in actuallity I'm not...I mean let's just do a little recap of all the wonderful Mac gadgets Heredes already owns...An ipod shuffle, which the Lord blessed him with for free after winning a singing contest at the "CATALYST" conference....a mac laptop....& a beautiful, black ipod video that his beautiful wife bought him for his birthday....

Finally, I liked to end with some wife input...I believe wives like talking to their husbands face to face more times than talking on the phone or watching their husband's talking on the phone or talking to their phone....Wives like to go out on dates without distracations....phones are distractions....and wives prefer traveling, like to Australia, Brazil, Europe, Africa, etc...then spending $600...+ on a phone...so, enough rambling...I'd just like to end by saying, yup the iphone is cool...its sleek, skinny, shiny, & beautiful...but it is just one more "thing" or "stuff" that can cloud our view....So, like we have been talking about in kids church- Contentment: deciding to be happy with what you've got! lololol...(its true)

Well Brian, thank you for starting this..I had fun...And I write this with so much laughter & smiles.

My peeps, i love you guys, I adore my husband, & if you'd like to pitch in & buy him an iphone, by all means do it....thank you for your love & support...and wives & other ladies, if you'd like to give your opinion backing me up feel free to do so...if you don't back me up, don't leave a comment...lol....peace out!

And by the way: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BRIAN VASIL..7/16/07
