26th Anniversary...

Today, after a lovely reminder from my mother, is my parents 26th anniversary!!  Here is a picture from their wedding and a recent picture of them now.  I love my parents and just want to say thank you for your example of a committed couple to marriage and to the Lord.  Keep "keeping the Bed hott"!! :)

And wanted to wish our friend David Uribe a happy birthday as well.

NOTHING WAS FOUND!!!!!

THIS IS AN UPDATE TO MY T.E.E. EXAM:

My mom was by my side the whole day. Got up at 5:45 am to get to the hospital by 7:15 am. Ends up that my exam wasn't until 1:00 pm. Miscommunication on the part of one of the nurses.
At 11:30 am they got me ready and I met the cardiologist. He totally freaked me out! He walked in and said, "So I hear we had a mild stroke." I was like, I did. He explained the test would show if I had one or not and if the mass was a piece of "something" that was left behind from the minor stroke. Then he went into all the details of the exam.
So, I was a little bit nervous after he threw all that at me, but they got on with the preparation. Can I say that the anaesthesia is AWESOME!!!!!!!! All I remember was a tingling sensation in my right hand, the doctor putting a mouth guard in my mouth and then I was awake. Again, it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

THE GOOD NEWS- THEY FOUND NOTHING!!! AND THERE WAS NO MINOR STROKE! GOD IS SO GOOD/SO GREAT!

The next thing is just to follow up with my main doctor and a neurologist. Now I am at home, waiting for Heredes, a little soar throat, and resting in bed.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR PRAYERS, HUGS, ENCOURAGING WORDS, AND TEXTS. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

TransEsophagealEcoCardioGram....

Yea, the above title is almost as good as supercalifragilistic!  At 9:00 am I go in for that test to see what the mass in my valve (not sure which one) is all about.  So, to not think to much about it I am posting myself as an M&M- Blue Marcy Chef with Converse M&M. :)  Goodnight all!!!

Thanks everyone...

Okay, I didn't want to say this out loud (or type it out loud) but I was in the hospital, but I really want to say thank you for everyone who prayed for me last night and today.  Thank you to Espy, Debbie, and Janette for visiting me at the hospital.  Everyone's text messages were very encouraging and Heredes and I felt so loved.
I'm not the type of person that gets sick alot, but so far I've been to urgent care twice and emergency once.  Please don't be worried or frightened.  :)  I found out i have an acute sinusitis.  Woopeey!  Waiting for one more test result, but praise God everything else came back negative.
And to my husband, thank you for being by my side even if you had to sleep in that crummy recliner.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!
(I just realized how much cooking relaxes me- that's what I did when I got home... EEK!- going to shower and sleep.)

I've been sick..

I have been sick for 10 days now.  What started off as "I think it's allergies" turned out to be a really bad cold/sinus infection.  That is my diagnostic.  Heredes and I were able to go to Orlando with the Gramlings for a day for some work, and my cold got soooo bad.  I was in bed for a whole day (that actually felt good) and missed a couple of days of work.  On Saturday, after a wonderful time at our friends Ivan and Lizbet's baby shower, I had had enough.  I called my friend Vicky Aguirre for a special product she had been using.  Sinucleanse- Netipot.  Ummm, can I just say AMAZING and FUN.  If you are ever sick with nasty mucous, buy this.  You put water and their salt powder in the Netipot and then you stick the Netipot inside one of your nostrils and tilt.  The salt water goes down one nostril and out comes the gunk out from the other nostril.  Yes, my sister did take pictures of this memorable experience- but I haven't uploaded the pics yet and I rather show you a picture of the product.
I am grateful that this infection is finally going away.  I still have a small bit of congestion, but I'm going to run now to the bathroom and get my sinus' cleansed.
By the way: I MISS MY HUSBAND.  But it's good to be with my family.

A cool Blog & Podcast...

If you are a kids ministry volunteer, leader or parent at FRC or anywhere else in the world, go and check out FRC's kids blog here. To my Doral team I encourage you to please check out the blog and listen to the podcasts where you will hopefully learn some new and insightful things about children's ministry. This week's topic is on one of our Ethos: ENVIRONMENT. Next week's topic is about small groups within children's ministry and adult small groups.
If you are a children's leader somewhere in our beautiful earth and you happen to stop by my blog, please feel free to check out our kids blog and give us any ideas, suggestions or participation you want. We are all about partnering with other leaders to help people reach their God potential. Thanks guys!

A movie?...

I haven't read this book yet, but I know a lot of people who have and I came across this blog (which is on our FRC Kids blogroll) with an article on the new Blue Like Jazz movie. You can read it here. I thought some of you may find it interesting.
